Its design includes an ambidextrous red-dot slide tang safety, dual extractors and an anti-jam elevator optimized for slick movement. This dramatically increases capacity without requiring an oversize magazine tube, and that the magazines are swappable makes reloading a cinch. This new for 2018 arm is notable because it has a removable magazine (hence the “M” in 590M) for quick swaps and since it is the world’s first 12-gauge with a double-stack magazine.
